This isn't allowed on a lot of forums I frequent, so it's up to how Alex feels, I suppose.

Daitro - Laissez Vivre Les Squelettes
Pounding epic screamo like Envy with that classic French twist. What's that twist? Unbeatable amounts of passion, absolute shovels of the stuff. When I saw them live I punched myself in the face and the chest. That's how passionate this music is.

Raein - Il Ne Pas De Orchestre & Döden Marscherar Åt Väst EP
Il N'y A Pas De Orchestre LP
01. The Tree 02. The King Is Dead 03. From 3 to 1 in 2 and 4 04. Il N'y A Pas De Orchestre 05. Tetraedycal Fluctuating Faster Than the Speed of Light 06. Artmachine Observation Tower 07. Miss Kelly Dahte 08. Tigersuit 09. She Wears My Blood 10. I Was Fine Before You Came
Possibly not their best release ever but it contains some of their best songs by far. The King Is Dead makes me want to circle pit, The Tree makes me want to headbutt total strangers and Tigersuit makes me want to stomp my feet and sing along. Three of the best screamo songs ever.
Döden Marscherar Åt Väst 7"
01. Parte 1 02. Parte 2
These are my favourite two songs as they sum up everything I love about Raein. They tread the line between order and chaos, occasionaly stepping over to one side or the other within seconds of one another. Beautiful instrumental parts (particularly the jazzy bit in Parte 1 around 0:54. Classic!), insane chest beating blasts and bits that just make you want to run around your room punching the air. This is a roller coaster ride of musical finesse and passion.

Saetia - A Retrospective
01. Notres Langues Nous Trompent 02. The Sweetness And The Light 03. An Open Letter 04. Woodwell 05. Corporeal 06. Ariadne's Thread 07. From The Firmament 08. Postlapsaria 09. Endymion 10. Roquetin 11. The Poet You Never Were 12. Some Natures Catch No Plagues 13. The Burden Of Reflecting 14. Closed Hands 15. Venus And Bacchus 16. One Dying Wish 17. Becoming The Truth 18. The Poet You Never Were (Live) 19. Ariadne's Thread (Live) 20. Notres Langues Nous Trompent (Live) 21. The Sweetness And The Light (Live) 22. Postlapasaria (Live)
Taken from a Punknews.org review:
"Can I explain Saetia? No. Can I tell you what they sound like or anything pertinent to making a decision on whether you should buy this CD? No."
This sums it up for me. I can't describe Saetia. I can't describe the amazing impact they had on me when I first heard them. I could go so far as to call it life changing since hearing Venus and Bacchus lead to my obsession with music, which is what I spend most of my spare time fueling. That song also, by itself, turned my idea of what made a good song on its head. I used to hate shitty production and screaming. I used to think songs had to go vers-chorus-verse-chorus. I used to think they had to be catchy enough to sing in the shower. Then I learnt that one thing over rules all in making good music. Passion.
To quote the Punknews.org review again:
"Heavy on the screams, the vocals sound like, gasp, there is some actual meaning to what is being said. They are loaded with emotion. Emotion = emo right? Could be, I dunno, don't really care, cause Saetia sounds pretty damn good. One of those bands that can't be pigeon holed."
This CD collects their LP, 7" and the compilation track they recorded along with some bootlegs. It also collects what it was like, for me, to be 15 and have just fallen out with pretty much all of my friends after I called them all arseholes for bitching behind each others backs. It collects what it was like to find sounds that were more than just catchy, throwaway songs, they were passionate, heartfelt music. This record means alot to me. It carries alot of bad memories, but with them a coming of age. I don't think anything in my life has had as much impact as the three minutes and twenty seconds that are "Venus and Bacchus"

Raein/Daitro = one of the greatest splits ever.
Raein/Daitro/Ilhasa = Same Raein songs as Döden Marscherar Åt Väst (but recorded better), exact same Daitro tracks (but again ecorded a bit bet) and some bonus tracks from some Japanese band with dodgy vocals.
The Daitro song "Un Bateau Ivre" is the best thing I have ever seen live. The drum solo was so intense I nearly burst a blood vessel from excitement.

But I will keep you posted when we make one. In the end of July we are going to studio and we will record an EP record.

QFT. Please keep non-upload related posts to a minimum. I'm not going to delete 'em unless it gets really out of hand and makes it hard to find the posts that actually contain uploads.
